What’s your favorite place in Israel and why?
I find it very difficult to single out one location in Israel to have as my favorite. I think that each corner of the country of Israel is special and unique its own way. However, after having the privilege of living in the beautiful city of Acco for a year, I would be inclined to label it as a favorite. While it may not be the most visually appealing city to look at, it certainly houses some truly inspiring people as well has a fascinating history.
Why are you involved in Hillel?
I chose to become involved in Hillel because coming from a Jewish Day School background, it was important for me to continue being involved in Jewish life. Becoming involved in Jewish life at Towson has allowed me to share my knowledge as well as continue learning and deepening my appreciation for my culture, history and religion.
Best Vacation?
Those who know me, know that I have done a decent amount of traveling. This is due to my father, who grew up traveling and views it as important to travel with family. Every summer for the past 10 or so years my family has gone on vacation together for several weeks. Some of the places we have been to include: Japan, Costa Rica, Scotland, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Israel…etc. I have also been fortunate to travel on separate occasions to Jamaica. Having to choose only one of these vacations is impossible. I have truly enjoyed getting to learn about all of these different and unique cultures, and ways of life.
When I’m not in school….(Class)…..
I am singing, creating jewelry and finding other ways to be creative! At home I enjoy being creative in the kitchen. While there is not much free time while at school, when I am home for breaks I enjoy trying new recipes to feed my family. So far, no complaints! Lastly, during my travels I focus on learning about new cultures, as well as enjoy what the locations have to offer in terms of landscape. I love to hike, boat, horseback ride, and explore!
